Description:

Rank ranges from Clinical Assistant Professor through Clinical Professor or Lecturer through Senior Lecturer. A terminal degree is the minimum qualification for consideration for this position. The successful candidate will teach three undergraduate classes each semester in his or her area of specialization and will be expected to serve as a mentor for undergraduate students writing Honors theses and for pre-health students. The ideal candidate will possess one or more of the following areas of expertise: Public Health, Epidemiology, Healthcare Policy, Healthcare Administration, Global Environmental Health, Medical Sociology, Human Biology, Medical Anthropology or Medical Ethics. Experience in clinical medicine, human health science research, clinical human health research, healthcare administration or health science policy will also be valued highly in a candidate’s application.

Qualifications:
  • Earned terminal degree in area of appointment or appropriately related field.

  • Successful professional experience in this field/area (ordinarily at least 10 years) as a broadly respected practitioner and/or educator.

  • Seasoned performance and leadership as an outstanding teacher as evidenced in performance evaluations.

  • Commitment to and/or record of successful direction of honors theses and service on thesis committees.

  • Distinguished record of contributions and/or leadership in scholarly or practitioner organizations in the field/area.

  • Meaningful commitment/participation in the community and in a local congregation.

  • Collaborative and respectful professional relationships with colleague faculty, staff, and clinical partners.

  • Active mentorship of individual students and/or student groups.
