The Center for the Integration of Teaching, Learning and Scholarship at Lafayette College invites applications for the position of Assistant Director. The Assistant Director will be part of a dynamic center environment and play key roles in CITLS programming, services and resource creation to support faculty as teacher-scholars. An initial focus of this position will be to provide pedagogical guidance and support for online and flexible course delivery including professional development opportunities for faculty and the development of resources on teaching. The Assistant Director will also guide and support face-to-face course delivery. The Assistant Director will be a part of other strategic initiatives for the center.
The Assistant Director will work closely with and report to the Associate Dean of Teaching and Learning. The Assistant Director will also work closely with the administrative coordinator and various campus partners including Learning & Research Technologies, the Academic Resource Hub, the Office of Accessibility Services and others.

Assist the Associate Dean in the planning and execution of Center programming including workshops and communities of practice for remote and face-to-face instruction.
Develop resources for CITLS to support faculty teaching efforts and related projects.
Contribute to the writing of Center communications and newsletters.
Provide support for faculty teaching efforts through consultations and classroom observations.
Support the Center’s faculty and student fellows.
Assist in the Center’s grant-funded and other strategic initiatives.
Work collaboratively with on-campus partners as well as the Lehigh Valley Association of Independent Colleges.
Play a role in the advancement of the Center’s scholarship around teaching and learning.
Candidates must be knowledgeable about research-supported teaching practices, have experience teaching in higher education, and embrace inclusive teaching and excellence. Candidates must be committed to continual growth as an educator developer and engage with professional societies.
The ideal candidate will hold a Ph.D. or Ed.D., have teaching experience at the college level, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate proactively in a team environment. Candidates should have strong organizational and project management capabilities. Experience with and interest in remote teaching and educational technology is strongly preferred.
